’90s Country Comes Alive at the 2026 Main Street Altus Block Party

Boots were tapping, drinks were flowing and ’90s country music filled Downtown Park during the 2026 Main Street Street Altus Block Party!

Straight Tequila Night brought incredible energy to the stage from the moment the music began. Their celebration of ’90s country had the crowd singing, dancing and reliving some of the best songs from one of country music’s greatest eras. Experiencing the concert outdoors under the evening sky made the night feel even more special. There is simply something different about live music in the heart of downtown!

We were excited to have Hudson Hall and Quartz Mountain Winery on-site, offering a variety of drink options throughout the evening. We appreciate both businesses for helping us create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where friends could gather and enjoy a great night of music together.

Events like the Block Party may last only one evening, but they require months of planning and many helping hands. We are incredibly grateful to the Main Street Altus board members who worked behind the scenes and throughout the event: Lindsay Reid, Kyle Williams, Samantha Braker, Alicia Lobaugh, Arriea'una Davis, Brayden Lehew, Allen Collins, Jacy Kerr, Kevin English and Lexi Smalts, along with Program Director Kelly Beane.

We also want to thank the spouses and volunteers who consistently show up and help wherever they are needed; the City of Altus, Altus Parks and Recreation, and the Altus Police Department for their assistance in making this event possible; Krystal Martin and The Booterie for graciously hosting the Green Room; and Abi Beane for capturing the evening through her media coverage. From preparing the park and welcoming guests to working the entrances and assisting throughout the event, each person played an important role in bringing the Block Party to life.
