Rock N Rumble 2025 Recap: A Weekend to Remember in Altus
What a weekend! Rock N Rumble 2025 was nothing short of incredible—and the weather couldn’t have been better. With the rain holding off, Altus came alive with the rumble of engines, the aroma of delicious food, and the laughter of families enjoying a full weekend of fun, sun, and community spirit.
Downtown Altus was transformed as over 200 cars, trucks, and motorcycles rolled in, filling the streets with chrome, color, and classic cool. From muscle cars to custom bikes, there was something for every gearhead and casual admirer alike.
Our food vendors brought the flavor! Festival-goers indulged in everything from snow cones, smoothie bowls, and lemonade to fried fish, authentic Mexican tacos, burgers, and more. The craft vendor section was equally vibrant, offering bundt cakes, homemade jams and salsas, clothes, custom hats, sunglasses, custom cigar box guitars, and unique finds from local artisans.
Kids had their own slice of paradise, with bouncy houses, power car races, and a Hot Wheels car show on Friday that had everyone smiling. Families cooled off with snow cones and enjoyed nonstop entertainment.
Saturday’s burnout contest, hosted by the Altus Firefighters Combat Challenge Team, was a major highlight. One unforgettable moment? A crowd favorite car that lit up the streets with pink smoke during its burnout—absolutely epic!
Another can't-miss tradition is the Saturday Night Cruise down Main Street. Starting at the courthouse and cruising all the way to Smiley’s, this event is a true community favorite. People line the street with tents, lawn chairs, grills, and coolers, turning the whole evening into a block party. Many locals are out late Friday night, marking their favorite spots for the next day. It’s a heartwarming sight—families and friends gathered together, waving as classic cars and hot rods cruise by under the evening sky. It’s not just a drive—it’s a celebration of Altus pride.
The entertainment lineup kept the energy high all weekend long. Members Only Band rocked Friday night with throwback '80s hits that had the crowd singing and dancing under the stars. On Saturday, Bisketheadz, a beloved local favorite, delivered an electric afternoon performance as visitors explored, shopped, and relaxed in the shade.
None of this would have been possible without the incredible team behind the scenes. A huge thank you to Program Director Amanda Redding, former director Lynna Wilmes (who volunteered for the first time in six years!). Our dedicated board members—Preston Gunkel, Allen Collins, Barbara Tims, Emily Worrell, Katie Stephens, Kevin English, Lindsay Bergmark, Kyle Williams, Lori Holt, Rick Hammock, Samantha Braker, Tiffany Forster, and Social Media Director Kaycee Lookingbill—worked tirelessly to make this event a success.
We’re also beyond grateful to the City of Altus departments, our generous sponsors, volunteers, and of course, the incredible Altus community. Your support, enthusiasm, and turnout are what make Rock N Rumble so special.
Until next year, keep on rumblin’!
